The Brazoswood Bucs JV Blue team traveled to Dickinson to face the Gators on Wednesday night. It was a hard fought game with many Bucs players playing on both sides of the ball and in many phases on special teams. The Offensive Line held up well against the Gators defensive pressure, including standout Tackle Connor Largent. Quarterback Braxton Welch completed several deep passes to Wide Receivers Austin Crainer and Trenton Waterbury. Welch and Waterbury would connect on a 20 yard pass for the only Bucs touchdown of the night. Defensive Back Rene Scorza laid out and blocked the first extra point block of the season. Defensive End Mason Folkert played hard all four quarters, making several big plays in the Gator backfield. The Bucs fell short with the final score of 39-6.
Next week the Bucs JV teams will travel to Clear Brook to face the Wolverines on Thursday night.
